I've spent β¬7,911.32 to produce my very first YouTube mini-series (which drops tomorrow, Nov 25)... Cottageβ¬1,188.32 to rent the 17th-century Irish cottage for three nights (via Airbnb) Travelsβ¬423 (Β£371.94) to bring participants over from the UK Videographerβ¬1,845 to hire one videographer for video and sound (two days on-site with multi-cam setup) YouTubeβ¬4,455 (Β£3920) for my "YouTube Guy" looking after research and production (briefs, scripts, thumbnails, edits...) --- All that for four episodes of roughly 30 minutes each. That's nearly β¬4k per hour. Is this too much? Too little? Am I going to get my "money back?" What's the ROI on it? I honestly have zero idea. Plus, I'm not counting my own time. So, what does success look like?
Let's wait and see. Right. Tomorrow, Tuesday, Nov 25, I'm dropping the first episode of my first YouTube mini-series. It features three freelance marketers (copywriter Rob, ecommerce designer Laura, and non-fiction book coach Vicky) who want to stand the f*ck out. I hope you'll set aside half an hour to watch it through. Maybe with your morning coffee? Or lunch break? Or evening onion soup? And then, the usual "Subscribe, Like, Share" would go a long, long way too. Thanks in advance for your help.
P.S. This is how the final packaging looks. I'll send you the link to the actual YouTube video tomorrow. |
